THE ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL ADVERTISERS (ANA)

The ANA represents the interests of brands and marketers and provides its members with industry-leading research, training, networking opportunities, and advocacy to help them navigate the complexities of marketing while fostering growth and promoting ethical practices. The ANA founded AAM as the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) in 1914 to bring order and transparency to media. AAM is a member of ANA and participates on its committees.

ANA NYC is the largest Business Marketing chapter of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), with membership spanning top agencies, brand marketers, media companies and martech providers. ANA NYC is the epicenter of New York B2B marketing, with the goal of driving conversation about the future of B2B marketing, and advocating for the needs of its local and national members. DCN is a trade association that represents premium digital media. It aims to ensure the sustainability and growth of its members by advocating for their interests, promoting ethical standards, and providing research, insights, and best practices in digital content creation and monetization. Events Industry Council
EVENTS INDUSTRY COUNCIL (EIC)

EIC is an organization for events industry professionals focused on promoting high standards and professionalism through education, certification and advocacy. It provides resources, conducts research and advocates for the events sector, aiming to enhance the event professionals' competency, credibility and stature in the global market. AAM is an official certifier for the EIC Sustainable Event Standards.

INTERACTIVE ADVERTISING BUREAU (IAB)

IAB empowers the media and marketers to thrive in the digital marketplace. It develops industry standards, conducts research and provides legal support to ensure companies can effectively engage audiences and monetize their digital content through advertising. AAM is a member of IAB and participates on its working groups.

IAB Tech Lab
IAB TECH LAB

The IAB Tech Lab is an independent, international, nonprofit consortium within the Interactive Advertising Bureau focused on developing technical standards and solutions for the digital advertising industry. It aims to reduce friction in the digital advertising supply chain, promote consistency and interoperability among technologies, and foster innovation and efficiency to benefit publishers, advertisers and consumers alike. AAM is a member of IAB Tech Lab and certifies organizations to IAB Tech Lab standards.

IFABC
INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF AUDIT BUREAUX OF CERTIFICATION (IFABC)

IFABC is a global network of independent audit bureaus that set standards and provide verification of circulation, readership, and audience data for media. Its goal is to ensure transparency and trust in the measurement of media across different platforms. AAM is an IFABC member.

Institute for Advertising Ethics
INSTITUTE FOR ADVERTISING ETHICS (IAE)

IAE is dedicated to promoting ethical practices and integrity within the advertising industry. It provides guidelines, educational resources, and training to marketers with the goal of fostering a culture of honesty, fairness and responsibility in advertising. AAM has partnered with IAE on creating training materials and is a member of IAE’s Common Consortium for Greenwashing Prevention.

JOURNALLIST

JournalList is the developer of Trust.txt, a framework that establishes relationships between publishers and the trusted industry organizations and associations they belong to. As AAM is a member of JournalList, all AAM publishers are also members and included on AAM’s Trust.txt file.

Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI)
JOURNALISM TRUST INITIATIVE (JTI)

JTI is a certification program developed by Reporters Without Borders that allows publishers to demonstrate their commitment to transparency and editorial standards. AAM is an official certifier for the JTI Standard.

Media Rating Council (MRC)
MEDIA RATING COUNCIL (MRC)

MRC is non-profit organization responsible for accrediting and auditing audience measurement services to ensure they meet established standards of accuracy and reliability. AAM uses MRC standards in several of its audit programs.

The News/Media Alliance is a trade association representing news, magazine and digital media organizations. It advocates for public policy issues pertinent to the industry, provides research and insights to foster business development and sustainability, and champions the critical role of a free press in society.

POCMA is dedicated to advancing the effectiveness and value of point-of-care marketing through education and awareness. AAM is an approved auditor for POCMA’s certification program and has helped the organization develop assurance standards by serving on several POCMA committees.

Project COUNTER
PROJECT COUNTER

Project COUNTER provides standardized, reliable metrics and guidelines for measuring the usage of electronic resources by libraries and publishers. Its aim is to enable consistent, comparable and transparent usage data reporting, which supports libraries in making informed purchasing decisions and publishers in understanding the value of their content. AAM is an approved auditor for COUNTER compliance.

TAG (Trustworthy Accountability Group)
TAG (TRUSTWORTHY ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP)

TAG works to increase trust and transparency in digital advertising by sharing industry best practices in brand safety, transparency and against ad fraud and malvertising. AAM is an official certifier for TAG’s brand safety, anti-malware and anti-fraud programs.
