The Alliance for Audited Media is the recognized leader in publisher audits across digital, print and out-of-home channels. In 1914 the Association of National Advertisers founded AAM as the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) to bring order and transparency to media. Today we offer an avenue for buyers and sellers to connect, forge relationships and transact with trust by delivering authentic, credible data to the market.

As an independent not-for-profit organization, our mission is to help buyers buy and sellers sell. Our audit services can be applied to digital, print and point-of-care media with the goal of helping:

  • Publishers stand out to advertisers and attract leading brands and buyers who rely on AAM data to discover media partners
  • Advertisers identify trustworthy partners who will safeguard their media investments and help them reach their target audiences
  • Media buyers gain an unparalleled view of the media landscape through our easy-to-use tools to analyze brand traffic, demographics, geographic data and more


We are governed by a board of directors representing agencies, marketers and publishers. Our leadership consists of top performers from across each discipline including directors of ad agencies, vice presidents of major national brands and publishers of leading news, magazine and business media.

We also work closely with leading industry organizations including the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the Media Rating Council (MRC), the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), News/Media Alliance (NMA) and the Point of Care Marketing Association (POCMA).

Together, we are committed to setting universal benchmarks for media transparency and excellence that elevate the entire industry.
