The Alliance for Audited Media is the industry’s assurance partner. In 1914 the Association of National Advertisers founded AAM as the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) to bring order and transparency to media. AAM merged with BPA Worldwide in 2023 to become the largest not-for-profit media assurance organization.


As an independent not-for-profit organization, our mission is to help buyers buy and sellers sell. We are governed by a board of directors representing agencies, marketers and publishers. Our audit services can be applied to digital, print, out-of-home media and ad tech platforms with the goal of helping:


  • Publishers stand out to leading advertisers who rely on AAM data to discover media partners
  • Advertisers identify trustworthy partners who will safeguard their media investments and help them reach their target audiences
  • Media agencies gain an unparalleled view of the media landscape through our easy-to-use tools to analyze publishers’ distribution strategies, traffic, demographics, geographic data and more
  • Ad tech providers gain insights into their ad delivery and measurement systems and receive recommendations for optimization and improvement

We also work closely with leading industry organizations including the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), the Events Industry Council (EIC) and the Point of Care Marketing Association (POCMA).
