The designation of two director seats reflects the continued assurance growth in the point-of-care marketing industry.
LISLE, Ill. (September 28, 2022) -- The Alliance for Audited Media (AAM) is designating two seats on its board of directors to allow for greater representation for members of industries such as point-of-care (POC) marketing, a subset of out-of-home (OOH) advertising. One seat will be reserved for a POC publisher member and a second for a media buyer member with significant representation in the POC/OOH space. The AAM board of directors approved these changes at its last meeting.
“We are proud to welcome directors representing point-of-care and out-of-home media on the AAM board of directors,” said Tom Drouillard, AAM CEO, president and managing director. “The point-of-care advertising market has seen significant growth in the last few years. Providing greater assurance to the industry through audits and verification standards is a priority for our organization. Adding these positions reflects that mission across new media types.”
AAM has audited POC media networks and campaigns for several years and is an approved auditor for the Point of Care Marketing Association (POCMA), a group created to promote the delivery of information and marketing messages in healthcare settings. AAM also holds positions on the POCMA board of directors and several POCMA committees, including the Verification and Validation Committee, which helps develop and maintain industry guidelines for third-party audits.
“Adding greater representation for POC members helps solidify AAM’s commitment to helping the channel continue to grow by providing a foundation of media transparency and assurance,” said Christopher Black, SVP, global lead for Zenith and AAM chairman. “We are excited to welcome their voice and leadership to the AAM board.”
As a not-for-profit industry organization, the AAM board of directors includes publisher, marketer and agency members from across North America. The new POC/OOH directors will be announced later this fall following an election of AAM members.
