Recognition reinforces TFC’s commitment to innovation and measurable sustainability progress across live events

Dallas, TX — March 5, 2026 — The Freeman Company (TFC), a collective of expert brands that deliver complex events, at scale, today announced it has achieved Gold-level certification to the Events Industry Council’s (EIC) Sustainable Event Standards (SES), a globally recognized framework advancing environmental and social responsibility across the events industry.

Independently audited by Alliance for Audited Media (AAM), the certification recognizes TFC’s integrated approach to sustainability across operations, event production, and organizational practices. The Gold designation represents one of the highest levels of achievement under the EIC standards and reflects TFC’s continued investment in innovative solutions that help clients reduce impact while improving event performance.

“At TFC, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand,” said Janet Dell, CEO of The Freeman Company. “Our teams are constantly rethinking how events are designed and delivered, from materials and logistics to data and operational practices, to help our clients create meaningful experiences with greater efficiency and responsibility. Achieving Gold certification is an important milestone, but it’s also part of our broader commitment to moving the industry forward.”

The EIC Sustainable Event Standards evaluate organizations across environmental stewardship, organizational management, supply chain practices, and social responsibility, with certification requiring independent verification to ensure transparency and accountability.

“The Freeman Company’s achievement demonstrates what’s possible when sustainability is embraced as a core pillar of event design,” said Amy Calvert, President and Chief Executive Officer, EIC. “Their leadership shows that events can deliver exceptional experiences while also advancing environmental and social responsibility.”

This achievement builds on TFC’s broader sustainability program, which also successfully completed its year-three surveillance audit with AAM to maintaining certification to ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 20121 (Sustainable Event Management) — internationally recognized standards guiding how organizations systematically manage environmental impact and sustainable event delivery.

“Congratulations to Freeman on earning their first EIC Sustainable Event Standards certification,” said Richard Murphy, CEO of AAM. “Combined with their ISO certifications, this milestone reinforces Freeman’s leadership and ongoing commitment to meeting the highest standards for sustainable events.”

As part of the certification process, TFC has also been added to AAM’s Assurance List, recognizing organizations that demonstrate transparency and accountability through independent audits and industry certifications.

TFC continues to advance sustainability initiatives across its global operations through product innovation, responsible material solutions, and collaborative partnerships designed to help organizers deliver more efficient, lower-impact events without compromising experience quality.
