Marketing Manager

AAM’s marketing manager uses data-driven insights to inform strategic and tactical marketing decisions. This is an integral part of the marketing team that will include tracking, analyzing and translating data and client feedback into actionable marketing plans. Primary responsibilities include working closely with marketing content and creative managers to bring these insights to life via web, PPC, SEO, social media, email and to collaborate with departments across AAM and the client base of more than 4,000 media and advertising organizations.

The ideal candidate is part data scientist, part story teller who can connect the dots between channels to inform our marketing campaigns and content to retain and attract new clients.

Duties/Tasks:

  • Create and manage strategic marketing campaigns (including web, PPC, SEO, social media and email), automation and content that effectively position AAM’s services
  • Analyze data from diverse data sources such as Google Analytics, AAM’s website (including the Media Intelligence Center), Hubspot, Moz, CRM, Microsoft Dynamics and other tracking tools to develop marketing strategies that support business needs
  • Develop and manage social media strategy
  • Create content for AAM’s marketing channels (website, blog, social media, email, collateral, etc)
  • Track performance of marketing activities and present findings
  • Create client personas and map customer journey to guide messaging and content
  • Respond to media requests for AAM data and create new ways to package AAM data for PR opportunities
  • Generate quality leads, including criteria for marketing qualified leads
  • Frequently collaborate with product leadership and sales teams
  • Seek and integrate client feedback and campaign results to optimize plans
  • Remain up to date and make recommendations on new marketing trends and tools

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related field
  • At least 3 years marketing experience, preferably in media, advertising or related B2B field

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to simplify complex topics
  • Proven analytical skills and web metrics to interpret quantitative data, identify trends, understand findings and develop marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus

 Travel may be required, approximately 5% -10%
