Publicizing Your AAM Status

Once AAM has acknowledged receipt of both your application and initial deposit, you may publicize that you are an AAM membership applicant. You may state in your publication’s masthead, media kit and promotional materials one of the following phrases:

  • ‘AAM membership applied for’
  • ‘AAM membership applicant’
  • ‘Applicant for AAM membership’

Whenever internal circulation numbers are promoted, any reference to AAM should be excluded.

You may publicize your AAM applicant status for up to one year from the date your application was received by AAM. If you have not started publishing your magazine, you may publicize your AAM applicant status for up to one year from the date you begin publishing.

The use of the AAM logo and claim of ‘AAM member’ is not permitted until AAM releases your initial audit. More information is available here.
